For many of us, our vehicle of choice is a bicycle. An e-bike can boost your speed and prevent you from arriving at your destination a sweaty mess.

E-bikes come in all shapes and sizes, and we've ridden many, including a cargo bike, trike, and even one with a sidecar. Check it out.

The Priority eClassic Plus has the classic design of a traditional bike and weighs about 50 pounds. It has three levels of pedal assist to help you on long rides, hills, and other terrain. You can remove the battery to charge it or to lighten your load and use it as a traditional bike for a self-powered ride.

The Tenways CGO 800S is easy to assemble and ride. It offers several levels of assist, a bright LCD that acts as a dashboard, and rear turn signals for extra safety.

An app also records your rides, tracking distance, duration, and speed. You can even cast biking directions to the LCD screen.

The bike weighs about 50 pounds and includes an assisted walking mode for steep hills.

The CycWagen Cargo E-Bike is an eye-catching ride (the one we tested had gray paint with yellow trim). It has a wooden cargo deck and foot pads in the back so you can tote tons of gear with pets and children.

It's easy to set up as it comes mostly assembled and includes the necessary tools in the box. You can purchase accessories like child seats and safety rails separately.

This speedy e-bike has two batteries, a built-in throttle for pedal-free riding, and five pedal assist levels.

The Mod Bikes Easy Sidecar 3 is among the most incredible bikes we've ridden. It takes some assembling before you can ride, but its written and video instructions are pretty easy to follow, even if you're new to this.

It's also like learning to ride a bike again since the sidecar changes the balance compared to a two-wheeler, especially on turns. The removable retro-style sidecar includes a little seat and seatbelt.

Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty fun to ride, especially if you have a passenger in the sidecar.

The Pedego Fat Tire Trike is true to its name. It has three plump tires, a comfy seat, and a small cargo space. It's a great choice if a two-wheel traditional bike doesn't work for your comfort or storage or if you're looking for a car replacement.

Of course, the tradeoff for all this is that the bike itself requires ample storage space, which can be tricky in more urban environments.

Segway's SuperScooter GT2 is not an e-bike but a close cousin. We tried out the Megatron Limited Edition version, which is the same scooter but with Transformers Decepticon branding. (The Megatron version is no longer available.)

The company says it can reach 43.5 miles per hour, but we were happy enough to top out at 30 mph. It can go up to 55 miles per charge.

The simplest definition of an e-bike or electric bicycle is that it has a motor that assists you as you're pedaling. For that reason, it can be a good choice for long commutes, getting around in hilly areas, and for anyone who wants or needs a boost.

Many e-bikes look like traditional bikes at first glance. The bigger the battery, the less they resemble conventional bikes.

While they come in all shapes and sizes, there are three classes of electric bikes:
