After months of anticipation, Royal Enfield has finally taken the wraps off its first electric motorcycle. It’s called the Flying Flea C6, where “Flying Flea” will serve as the brand’s all-electric sub-brand (sort of like Harley-Davidson and LiveWire). Several details have been revealed, some of which will truly take you by surprise. Here’s a lowdown.

We’ve been going gaga about the EV’s retro design ever since the first teaser. And it doesn’t disappoint. This is a properly old-school motorcycle, armed with elements like a round headlight, round turn signals, and round mirrors. The highlight, however, has to be the saddle and front suspension.
The former has a bobber-type design, inspired straight from the OG Flying Flea from yesteryears. Don’t fret, you can also plonk on an accessory pillion saddle if you have someone to take along. As for the suspension, the front end has a gorgeous girder fork–a common suspension style from the 30s and 40s. RE claims the C6 is the only mass-produced motorcycle with such a setup. A special shoutout also goes to the distinct faux fin-type design on the battery pack and the stellar “fuel tank”.
With new bikes, RE is slowly adopting modern technologies. The Flying Flea takes that to the next level. It has a circular touchscreen TFT instrument cluster, armed with phone connectivity. This display also lets you access some first-time features for an RE, such as cornering ABS, cruise control, and ride modes that let you fine-tune the throttle response, ABS intrusion, and regen level. OTA updates are another new addition to this RE.

Holding the EV together is a bespoke aluminum chassis–again a first for Royal Enfield. It suspends on the above-mentioned girder fork and a monoshock, both paired to aluminum alloy wheels. Disc brakes are present on each end, with ByBre calipers providing the bite. Yes, we know all that sounds generic, and it is. Why? Because RE has yet to provide us the exact details like suspension travel, brake size, saddle height, and weight. Likewise, the performance remains a mystery.

With Royal Enfield showing the bike in the flesh, you’d expect it to launch it as well. But there’s bad news. That’s because the C6 will actually be available for retail in the Spring of 2026. It explains why RE has refrained from revealing the intrinsic details. Nevertheless, we also know the company will also reveal an electric scrambler under its Flying Flea brand soon.
